Asake and Wizkid set a new Spotify record with ‘MMS’
The song ‘MMS‘ off Asake‘s new album ‘Lungu Boy‘ which features Wizkid has set a new Spotify Nigeria record after a full day of tracking.
Following the release of his third studio album titled ‘Lungu Boy‘, multiple award-winning singer and performer Asake has set a new record on the Spotify Top Songs Nigeria daily chart with his collaboration with Wizkid titled ‘MMS.’
‘MMS’ with a total of 870,000 streams set a new record for the highest first-day streams for a song on the Spotify Top Songs Daily chart for Nigeria surpassing ‘IDK‘ by Wizkid which features Zlatan.
MMS recorded a a 200,000 streams plus increase as opposed to Wizkid’s IDK which recorded over 626,000 streams on its first full day of tracking.
The song initially recorded over 100,000 streams in its first hour of tracking (12 am – 1 am) WAT. MMS is slowly working its way to becoming an all-time favourite off the ‘Lungu Boy‘ album with his collaboration with Travis Scott, ‘Active’ making a re-entry on the Spotify Global Charts with over 1.7 million streams.
