Davido performs as Ethiopia enters 2017

Nigerian music sensation Davido had the unique opportunity to perform and celebrate Ethiopia’s New Year, which marked the country’s entrance into the year 2017.

Yes, you read that right – 2017! Ethiopia follows its own calendar, which is about 7-8 years behind the rest of the world.

So, Davido was invited to perform in Ethiopia and his associate, Ubi Franklin, shared updates on social media. In a clip posted on his Instagram story, Ubi explained the Ethiopian calendar. He said, “It’s New Year in Ethiopia, they are in 2017, they just entered 2017.”
