Wizkid's 'Piece of my Heart' breaks first-time Spotify chart record in Nigeria

Multiple award-winning singer Wizkid has unlocked a new record with ‘Piece of My Heart‘ on the Spotify chart for Nigeria.

Wizkid’s first lead song of 2024, ‘Piece of My Heart’ with Brent Faiyaz, has set a new and what many have considered an unattainable record on the chart of digital streaming platform Spotify in Nigeria.

After a full 24 hours of tracking, Wiz gained over 1 million streams on Spotify Nigeria alone, making it the most streamed song in a single day on the Top Songs daily chart. The record was previously held by the singer and Asake with their collaboration, ‘MMS,’ with a total of 870,000 streams surpassing ‘IDK‘ by Wizkid, which features Zlatan.

Piece of My Heart also recorded a top 100 entry on the Spotify Top Songs Daily chart at the global level with over 1.7 million streams. The Grammy award-winning artist now holds the 3 highest debuts spots on Spotify Top Songs Daily chart for Nigeria.
